Supply Chain

Disciplined Execution From
Origin to Destination

Physical cotton must pass through several commercial and logistical stages before reaching the spinning mill. We coordinate with experienced suppliers and service providers to support an organized international supply chain.

Origin-to-Mill Model

The Physical Journey of
Every Lot

Successful execution depends on coordinating the cotton lot, quality information, bale details, documentation, payment structure, inland movement, container planning, port operations, ocean freight and delivery schedule.

BABA Global Cotton is building an integrated origin-to-mill operating model designed to provide greater visibility and accountability throughout the transaction.

Supply-Chain Stages

Ten Coordinated Steps

1

Origin Identification

Identification of suitable cotton-producing regions, ginners, merchants and available lots.

2

Quality &
Commercial Review

Review of quality information, quantity, price, availability and shipment period.

3

Contract Confirmation

Confirmation of buyer, seller, quantity, specifications, price, payment terms and delivery terms.

4

Bale & Warehouse Coordination

Confirmation of bale availability, warehouse information and shipment preparation.

5

Inland Transportation

Coordination of movement from gin or warehouse to the container-loading or export location.

6

Container Planning

Planning based on bale type, allowable weight, container capacity, port requirements and carrier terms.

7

Export Documentation

Preparation and coordination of required commercial, logistics and regulatory documents.

8

Ocean Shipment

Coordination with freight forwarders, carriers and port service providers.

9

Destination Coordination

Support for document delivery, destination communication and shipment visibility.

10

Mill Delivery & Follow-Up

Commercial and quality follow-up after arrival, subject to the agreed delivery terms.

Commercial transactions may be structured under agreed international delivery terms such as FOB, CFR, CIF or other mutually accepted Incoterms, depending on the transaction. We do not state that we always offer one particular Incoterm.
